Dudeştii-Vechi (also known as Stár Bišnov (bg), Óbesenyö(hu)) is a village from the western part of Timis county.
The village is a multicultural place: it is inhabited by bulgarians (called paulicians or pavlikians) - the majority population, romanians, hungarians, gypsies, serbians, germans, ukraineans and slovaks.
The pavlikians came here in 1738, from the northern part of Bulgaria, to escape from the turkish yoke. At that time the village already existed but it was a deserted uninhabited place, so the pavlikeans settled in and started to build their new homes.
Currently there are about 4000 inhabitants in Dudestii-Vechi.
